CIBER was launched in 2009 under the auspices of the Delaware Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research, or EPSCoR. EPSCoR is a federal program led by the National Science Foundation (NSF) that helps states enhance their research initiatives and institutions. In Delaware, the program focuses on environmental science, engineering, and policy and supports Delaware’s goal of achieving a sustainable environment and a prosperous economy.
Delaware State University, Delaware Technical Community College, Wesley College, and the University of Delaware are partners in Delaware’s EPSCoR programs.
Within DSU, faculty from the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences (CARS) and the College of Mathematics, Natural Science, and Technology (CMNST) are active participants in CIBER research and education programs. In addition, CIBER works closely with the Ethics Resource Site at DSU to provide training and consultation in research ethics for its participants and partners.
