The Center for Integrated Biological and Environmental Research (CIBER) serves as a regional networking hub in environmental and life sciences. Faculty and students from Delaware State University, Wesley College, Delaware Technical Community College (DTCC), and the University of Delaware participate in the CIBER network.
Major functions of the center include:
- Identifying funding opportunities and bringing together groups of researchers in order to secure grants;
- Providing opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to pursue hands-on research;
- Coordinating the user training, maintenance, and use of core research facilities and instrumentation at DSU; and
- Integrating research and outreach activities for partner institutions.
CIBER is managed by a core implementation team, which is advised by a distinguished external advisory board. Faculty members interested in utilizing resources developed through CIBER are invited to participate and contribute to collaborative research.
The Center for Integrated Biological and Environmental Research (CIBER) is an instrument for the College of Agriculture and Related Sciences (CARS) and Delaware State University (DSU) to facilitate collaborative research, extension, and teaching.
